Spring 2016 sees Shu Uemura hit the packaging nail on the head yet again. Shu has collaborated with Seoul high end designer, Kathleen Kye, to create a collection of 24 limited edition products. The collection oozes Kye’s coolness and creativity, representing her innovative and ahead of the times approach to K-fashion.
The packaging is next level cute, peppered with Kye’s illustrations and fun emoticons. On the packaging you will see uber cute designs such as the hibiscus flower, Korea’s national flower, headphones to symbolise K-Pop music and shaking hands to symbolise togetherness.
My picks of the limited edition collection are the Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil and Sheer Color Balm lip color.
Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil $135- 450ml/$65- 150ml– Created with eight precious oils to gently remove every trace of makeup and leave perfectly clean, glowing skin. This guy is one of the most thorough makeup removers I’ve ever used. Most skin types will enjoy this however dry skin and “mature” skin will love it.
Sheer Color Balm $43– Inspired by Seoul’s neon lights, Sheer Lip Color comes in three distinctly K-Beauty shades. The formula reacts with your lip’s PH to create a unique glow. The colour is sheer and extremely wearable.
