It’s been a long time between drinks (posts) and a lot has happened. I just ordered the new Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Filter, I moved into a house with far better storage, oh and I had a baby. Since darling Hazel graced us with her presence, my routine and go to products have dramatically changed. Not necessarily because I have less time but I often can’t be bothered with full glam to wash a sink full of bottles and do three loads of washing. Having said that, through my new preferences I have discovered some bloody good new products and rediscovered some old favourites.
Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer – I never thought I’d like a primer that claimed to matte in any way but I haven’t deviated from this guy since it launched. My skin looks incredibly smooth and my pores are minimized for perfect foundation application.
L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation – My go to for actual, real life foundation days. Gorgeous medium coverage with the perfect glowy finish that never looks oily. Lasts all damn day and still looks fab when I go to wash it off.
By Terry Compact Expert Dual Powder – I had shit skin after having Hazel but was still getting compliments left right and centre and this powder is why. With two shades (a powder and a highlight), the powder gives amazing sheen to the skin while lightly setting tinted moisturiser or foundation.
YSL Touche Eclat – This pen is key to faking 8 hours sleep. It’s not a concealer but a brightener that will make the most sleep deprived of us look perky.
Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk – For my tinted moisturiser days I can’t go past a great liquid blush. This one is so easy to apply with my fingers as it’s super creamy and doesn’t go patchy.
Frank Body Illuminator – My ultimate ‘wet look’ highlighter. Gives me glossy cheekbones, is perfect with tinted moisturiser and actually lasts on the skin unlike similiar products I’ve tried.
Fenty Match Stix Matte Skinstick in Mocha – Clearly having bit of a Fenty moment. I use thisshade for a contour, it’s the perfect warm shade without being too red. The formula is blendable but not too soft so it wears really well.
MAC Lipstick in Patisserie – This shade is the classic ‘leave me in your handbag, I go with everything’ colour. A beautiful, sheer natural pink that I can apply without a mirror and without thinking.
Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer – My obsession with boring, easy to wear lip products continues. This is another one I carry around with me for easy, on the go application. Super shiny, natural colour and not too sticky. Also smells amazing.
Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Coconutter – It’s coconut scented lipbalm. Get around it.
Glossier Boy Brow – This fab brow gel gives fullness and tint minus the tedious brow pencil. Easy peasy for minimal makeup looks, busy people and anyone with brows.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara – How ridiculously long are mascara names? Argh. Regardless, this is a bloody good mascara. Layers really well for big time volume minus the clumping. Removes easily but doesn’t smudge.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette – The ultimate warm eyeshadow palette. A perfect combination of warm shades in mattes and shimmers. Also been loving Nars Wanted Palette but it’s always out of stock so it would be mean to tell you that. Oops.
