Welcome to winter, Australia! With winter comes scaly, dry, kinda gross skin. As the general consensus is ‘we hate that’, I thought I would put together a little list of my favourite body hydrators. If you’re not under the threat of Australian winter right now, don’t bother reading on. Just kidding! Read on and get some lotion on you anyway.
This cult NARS hydrator is Monoi de Tahini oil in it’s purest form. This oil is derived from the Tiare Flower being refined in coconut oil for 10 days, infusing the oil with all the nutrients of the flower. This oil has been used for centuries in French Polynesia for it’s medicinal, hydrating and soothing qualities. Monoi Body Glow is for the lass that likes a glow. Oh and the scent is heavenly. I strongly urge NARS to bottle the Monoi scent in perfume form.
Argentum La Lotion Infinie Body Cream
This lotion is as much a treatment as it is a hydrator. Argentum is formulated with Silver Hydrasol which is used to treat conditions such as acne, eczema and rosacea. Not only is this super hydrating and healing but also gives an instant tightening and lifting effect. Win win win. If that’s not enough, I guarantee the patchouli and sandalwood scent will win you over.
Jo’s Body Creme is as luxe as body prodz get. This creme so buttery and luscious and the range of scents available are so damn divine. Enriched with oils from cocoa seed, sweet almond and jojoba, Body Creme will leave your skin soft and bouncy. If your signature fragrance is Jo Malone, you need need need the matching Body Creme to enhance your fragrance and prolong it’s wear. I own the delectable Blue Agava & Cacao, which has devastatingly been discontinued, but I’m also a big fan of Peony & Blush Suede. I highly recommend heading into your local Jo Malone counter to experience Body Creme for yourself and pick your scent.
Soap & Glory Righteous Butter Body Lotion
Righteous Butter Lotion is a light weight lotion, rich in shea and cocoa seed butters, sweet almond and rosehip oils and vitamin e. It’s a nice, simple lotion for those of us that don’t like a rich cream. Righteous Butter Lotion has that classic, delicious Soap & Glory scent of bergamot, peach, vanilla and sandalwood. Yum.
If it’s good enough for Victoria’s Secret angels, it’s good enough for me. This luxe oil will help even out skin tone thanks to retinol and vitamin c while leaving the skin with a heavenly glow. Argan and Marula Oil keep skin hydrated and protected.
