Let’s be real, most makeup isn’t actually good for your skin. You can sleep in the most natural of makeup and you’re still going to wake up with six new friends on your chin. However, some clever makeup mogels have found sneaky ways to give your skin a good time whilst wearing makeup.
Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Foundation- A foundation that actively fights breakouts while you wear it. This guy boasts Aspen Bark and Tea Tree Oil to reduce blemishes and promote healthier skin. The ingredient list is pretty tiny which makes it a good option for acne prone skin that trends to be pretty reactive. This formula seems to blur pores a little better than the Original or Matte and has a longer wear time. It seems to mimic the appearance of a liquid a little better, avoiding the powdery finish of a lot of powder foundations.
Hourglass No 28 Primer Serum- No 28 is a super rich, hydrating primer and serum. The ’28’ part of it’s name refers to the amazing amount of skin loving ingredients it boasts; 14 essential oils, 10 lipid-rich plant oils and four vitamins.
- Lavender, geranium, rose geranium, vanilla, clove, orange peel, amyris, lemon peel, petitgrain, eucalyptus, rosemary leaf, bois de rose, cedar leaf and ylang ylang.
- Jojoba, rose hips seed, evening primrose, hazelnut, borage seed, kukui nut, sweet almond, green tea, olive, and cherry pit.
- Vitamins A, B5, C, and E.
Wow. This guy feels like velvet as you massage it onto the skin and creates the most angelic, dewy finish. No 28 doesn’t contain any parabens, synthetic dyes or fragrances or sulfates. It is literally a serum that just happens to keep your makeup on longer.
Ilia Multisick- A cream to powder formula for colouring the eyes, lips or cheeks. Rich with cocoa and shea butter to moisturise and hydrate the skin whilst delivering a healthy wash of colour and glow. The colour range of the Multistick is beautiful. I’m particularly partial to At Last and A Fine Romance.
