The love story behind Omorovicza is basically a Disney fairytale. My words are not even half as elegant as the Omorovicza website so here is a little background on the brand’s co-founders:

“Stephen, a descendant of the noble Omorovicza family, was in Budapest running his family firm when he first met US diplomat Margaret, Chief of Staff at the US Embassy, working for Ambassador Nancy Goodman Brinker. After he took her to Budapest’s ancient spas, their love and skin blossomed, and marriage soon followed. Inspired by the profound effects of the waters on their skin, Margaret and Stephen were keen to bring Hungary’s enviable beauty heritage to the rest of the world and together embarked on an exciting new skincare business.”

THEIR LOVE AND SKIN BLOSSOMED. Stop it. And he looks like Prince Charming.

As Stephen and Margaret’s bio indicates, the basis of Omorovicza is the healing thermal waters of the Budapest baths. In the 1800’s, the Omorovicza family built the stunning Racz Spa on a mineral spring known for it’s healing properties. Fast forward… aaaaand stop. Stephen and Margaret, inspired by the changes they experienced in their skin, to harness the healing properties of this water and created Omorovicza.

Omorovicza ticks all the boxes. Super luxe, not tested on animals, beautiful background, natural alternatives to common synthetics and free of unnecessary ingredients. All products are free of sulfates, petrochemicals, synthetic colours, synthetic fragrances, silicones and parabens. The delicious scents you notice across the brand are naturally derived and created in the home of perfumery, Grasse.

What should you try from Omorovicza?

Thermal Cleansing Balm is a gorgeous black balm, rich in natural oils and Hungarian mud. Skin is left soft and plump thanks to Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Squalene, and Apricot Kernel Oil. This gentle balm will remove every last trace of cake face, however I think that’s a total waste of such phenomenal ingredients. I opt to use this as a morning cleanser or second cleanse and it is beautiful to use for facial massage.

Deep Cleansing Mask is the gentlest, most effective of it’s kind. This mask manages to smooth out congestion, brighten the skin and give a deep cleanse all without irritating or stripping the skin. Kaolin and Hungarian Mud draw out congestion, thermal spring water deeply hydrates and vitamin e helps to heal the skin.

You can find Omorovicza at Mecca Cosmetica in Australia and Sephora in the US as well as at Omorovicza.
